to raise funds and awareness of The Halls’ Foundation Scholar

What is The Halls’ Foundation Scholar?
We are delighted and honoured to be raising money for the “The Halls’ Foundation Scholarship”. This is an educational programme that creates truly life-changing opportunities for children in South Africa. It started six years ago, when one particular school – Stowe School in Buckinghamshire – created a programme for five underprivileged children to come to the UK for a year that would change their lives.
Endorsed by Sir Richard Branson, the programme gave these teenagers the chance to study at Stowe, it provided them with a thrilling new outlook on the world, and the opportunity to develop leadership skills, confidence, character and flair. The simple vision is that these students would go on to become the leaders, entrepreneurs and wealth-creators so badly needed in the new South Africa. Six years on, as the first group graduate with top degrees from university, there is every sign that the programme is delivering on its mission.
The programme now urgently needs funding to be sustained, and with your support, “The Halls’ Foundation Scholarship” will be one of those students in 2014/15. Your help will provide not just a life-changing opportunity for one very deserving student, but the sense that you are changing the future of South Africa for the better. Please pledge as much as you can, and in a few months’ time I will be delighted to send you information about the student who will benefit from your generosity.
